POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- Practical experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic operations and able to analyze data effectively.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or similar accounting software.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and professionally to various stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the AP Lead with data entry for incoming invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Process weekly payments and perform daily reconciliations.
- Support the filing of invoices and related accounting documents.
- Post and reconcile payments in the general ledger.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in billing and payments.
- Balance daily A/P batches and prepare payment reports for management.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of financial records.
- Address payment issues in accordance with corporate policies.
- Deliver excellent customer service as the primary contact for client inquiries.
- Adhere to all safety policies and report any unsafe activities.
- Provide backup support during peak periods and employee absences.
- Contribute to team efforts to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Exhibit leadership by sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
