About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Holistic Home Care. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Assess patients' physical abilities and develop treatment plans to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
    • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
  • Administrative Support
    • Develop information materials for patients, including educational handouts and instructional guides.
    • Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records.
    • Process claims, such as health insurance or workers' compensation.
  • Equipment and Supply Management
    • Set up and dismantle equipment, clean and maintain equipment, and prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Communication and Documentation
    • Document patient rehabilitation progress and maintain accurate records.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Other Duties
    • Perform general clerical duties, including scheduling and confirming appointments.
    • Organize and maintain inventory, including ordering supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • First Aid Certificate.
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • MS Office.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
