Job Skills / Requirements

As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will respond to alarms and emergency situations, utilizing your exceptional verbal de-escalation skills to resolve conflicts. You will always uphold confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information, while consistently providing outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly demeanor.
  • Prevent theft, violence, or violations of rules and regulations.
  • Monitor visitors and conduct ID checks according to established policies.
  • Respond professionally to emergencies, including alarms and medical incidents.
  • Communicate any suspicious activities or concerns to our dispatch team effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports on security incidents and hazardous occurrences.
  • Regularly patrol the facility to ensure no potential conflicts go unnoticed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Provide outstanding customer service with a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods.
  • Hold a valid First Aid/CPR certification or be willing to obtain one before employment.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Previous experience in Security and Customer Service is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Current First Aid & CPR certification from recognized organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to solve problems and respond to emergencies under pressure.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Physical capability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license (a valid security license is an asset).
  • High school diploma or equivalent and of legal age.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED

Certification Requirements:

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
