About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Specialist to join our team at Kathleen Furlong. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to children in a family setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Develop and implement engaging educational programs for children, promoting their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
    • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks, ensuring a healthy and balanced diet for the children.
    • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, maintaining a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Household Management
    • Assume full responsibility for household management, including light housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry duties.
    • Organize and plan activities, outings, and games for children, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
    • Keep accurate records of daily activities, health information, and any notable events or incidents.
  • Transportation and Errands
    • Transport children to and from school, appointments, and other activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
    • Run errands and perform tasks as required, supporting the family's daily needs.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Develop and maintain effective communication with parents, ensuring open and transparent dialogue about the children's needs and progress.
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless care and support for the children.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client-focused and empathetic, with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Flexible and adaptable, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
    • Reliable and organized, with a strong sense of responsibility.
