Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly qualified and experienced Senior Quality Assurance and Operations Developer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality of our products and operational processes. As a senior team member, you will significantly influence the testing strategy, mentor junior QA engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver superior software solutions while demonstrating a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend project requirements and devise comprehensive testing plans.
  • Test Design: Develop and execute test strategies, cases, and scripts to validate software functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct various testing types, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, to identify and rectify defects.
  • Automation: Design and maintain test automation frameworks, tools, and infrastructure for efficient testing processes.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and monitor software defects, ensuring their timely resolution.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with development, product management, and customer support teams to ensure timely and high-quality software releases.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of servers, services, and microservices in both public and private cloud environments while adhering to service level agreements.
  • Support Operations: Participate in on-call rotations to assist with and troubleshoot customer-reported issues as well as internal service incidents.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain a strong emphasis on security and compliance within the cloud environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and technologies, demonstrating a commitment to learning and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of comprehensive software development life cycle experience, including DevOps practices, testing, and operations.
  • Proficiency in AWS/Azure and expertise in cloud-native architecture.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
  • Experience with test automation tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-motivated attitude, and a commitment to ongoing learning.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory):

  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with a focus on SLO/SLIs in a commercial cloud-based service.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance adherence within a cloud environment, including PCI, ISO27001, and SOC2.
