About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our team at Calgary Dental Group.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing instruments, taking x-rays, educating patients, and ensuring the smooth flow of the dental office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during procedures, including preparing patients for examination and treatment
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment
  • Take and develop X-rays, and polish teeth and clinical crowns
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide instructions on post-treatment care
  • Perform clerical duties, including preparing invoices, processing payments, and scheduling patient appointments
  • May perform intra-oral duties, such as removing sutures, taking vital signs, and applying desensitizing agents
Requirements
  • Dental assisting certification or relevant experience
  • Proficiency in ClearDent software (training provided for the right candidate)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
