About the Role:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Richmond Hospital. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide high-quality care to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for children and adolescents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services
Requirements:
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Eligible
- Strong knowledge of child relational/developmental/psychotherapeutic theory and practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
