Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our department, you will perform various imaging procedures, including computed tomography, and have the opportunity to be trained in Level three CT at two sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures, some General Radiography (when needed), and digital quality assurance
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management personnel
  • Participate in professional development, teaching, and educational activities, and mentoring
  • Rotate to another UHN site, as determined

Requirements

  • Registration with the CMRITO
  • Previous General Imaging experience
  • Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
  • One (1) year recent experience in a related area of responsibility, required
  • Current experience (within the last 5 years) in computed tomography, required
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity towards patients in challenging situations
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills and image quality
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy and pathology
  • Effective time management skills, ability to organize work, and set priorities
  • Ability to work accurately under stressful conditions
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a supportive team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and recognition skills
  • Commitment to continuing education
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Demonstrated good work performance and attendance history
  • Effective computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous Level 3 CT experience or willingness to be trained up to a Level 3 CT, preferred
  • Membership with the CAMRT, preferred
  • Completion of certified injection course, preferred
  • Currently enrolled in the CTIC offered by the CAMRT, preferred
