Position Overview

The Lead Inventory Management Supervisor is tasked with overseeing all aspects of resource allocation for a dedicated team of material management professionals. This role is critical in managing the flow of materials from the point of receipt through to the delivery of finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis and review of inventory data; interpret findings and provide actionable insights.
  • Oversee the management of inventory, shipping, and receiving processes, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
  • Deliver essential financial insights related to inventory levels, demand forecasts, and revenue projections.
  • Supervise Inventory Control activities that align with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management and production workflows.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
  • Develop and implement processes aimed at optimizing inventory levels, incorporating lean manufacturing principles.
  • Support Continuous Improvement efforts related to production control and material logistics.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory cycle count programs and year-end work-in-progress assessments.
  • Manage the safe storage and control of inventory at all times.
  • Oversee the management of scrap materials and related inventory processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Operations Management or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a materials team within a dynamic environment.
  • CPIM Certification from APICS or a similar qualification is preferred.
  • Experience in Master Scheduling is a significant advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with MRP and ERP systems.
