Main Avenue Cold Beer & Liquor Store Ltd. - Cashier Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Main Avenue Cold Beer & Liquor Store Ltd. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the cash wrap and surrounding areas
  • Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels
  • Monitor all entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
  • Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Dependability and ability to work independently
