Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary:
Shift Imaging is a community-based medical imaging provider specializing in delivering state-of-the-art care to underserved populations across Northern Alberta. We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding and provides educational materials as needed.
• Verifies patient identity and prepares patients for radiology exams by positioning them for the procedure.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
• Observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
• Maintains equipment and reports any potential problems or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Certified and currently registered with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
• CLXT designation may be considered.
• At least 12 months of prior related clinical experience preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD) and Mammography is considered an asset but not mandatory for the position.
• CPR/BCLS for healthcare providers required.
