Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Bilingual Patient Reimbursement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our reimbursement team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing patient cases, working closely with insurance companies, healthcare professionals, and our dispensing BioScript Pharmacy pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects required to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients;
- Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician's offices, and healthcare professionals to maximize reimbursement solutions;
- Coordinate documents, submissions, and related paperwork to insurance companies, public/federal funding programs;
- Foster and build relationships with key clinics;
- Coordinate with pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained;
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of public/private and federal funding mechanisms;
- Other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
Requirements
- Bilingualism - English/French - is a requirement;
- Prior experience in a reimbursement role is a strong asset;
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an asset;
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in customer/client service experience;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications (Google apps, Word, Excel);
- Professional/courteous/efficient telephone manner;
- Proven ability to organize time, set priorities, and multi-task to meet various competing work deadlines;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently;
- An out-of-box thinking approach;
- Able to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday, covering the hours of 8 AM to 8 PM EST.
