Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of an Engineering degree program or equivalent.
- Experience in product design and CAD, with proficiency in mechanical drafting.
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, collaborative, and an attentive listener.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, review, and release technical drawings from initial concepts to detailed specifications, ensuring compliance with tolerance, GD&T, and project requirements.
- Coordinate trials, analyze data, and follow up on outcomes.
- Manage relationships with external vendors for testing, part processing, and component supply.
- Conduct cycle time studies and identify process bottlenecks.
- Engage in problem-solving activities, including root cause analysis and data presentation.
- Support equipment design, construction, installation, and commissioning efforts.
- Contribute to workcell layout and enhancement initiatives.
- Perform ergonomic assessments and propose improvements.
- Design, build, and implement tooling and gauging solutions.
- Oversee the shipping of parts and tooling.
- Assist in continuous improvement efforts, quality enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Encourage and adapt to organizational changes.
- Maintain an organized filing system for efficient information retrieval.
- Participate in monthly Health & Safety assessments.
- Provide engineering support to various departments as directed by management.
