About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to join our team at Willoughby Manor Retirement Residence. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of our community, ensuring that we provide exceptional care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Direct and manage the performance of all managers and associates
    • Develop and implement budgetary guidelines for all departments
    • Prepare annual operational and capital budgets and monitor performance monthly against them
  • Resident Care and Services
    • Ensure that quality care is provided to residents
    • Coordinate activities to ensure compliance with established standards
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote resident well-being
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
    • Collaborate with the management team to achieve community goals
    • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
    • Identify and mitigate risks to the community
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety and quality
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 5 years experience dealing with seniors in a retirement home setting
    • Qualifications in a related field (e.g. gerontology, healthcare administration)
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to develop and implement budgets and financial plans
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
