We are seeking a reliable and efficient Kitchen Helper to join our team at 2769152 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Prepare and cut vegetables and fruit for use in kitchen operations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
- Reliability and dependability, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
- Assist with foreign credential recognition and provide support to help newcomers integrate into the community.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to youth, tailored to their needs and goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations.
Work Term: Permanent
Work Language: English or French
Hours: 35 hours per week
