About the Role

The Electrical Safety Consultant position offers a unique opportunity to work with a variety of electric products, including appliances, consumer electronics, lighting, medical devices, and more. You will assist in providing more efficient services to clients and conduct on and off-site evaluations to determine specific solutions for each customer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and validate national codes and standards
  • Conduct thorough design reviews and document results
  • Supply information for quotes, including project scope and sample requirements
  • Provide specialized expertise in one product category and become a subject matter expert
  • Coordinate and lead client meetings and discussions
  • Provide sales support for product requirements and customer presentations
  • Communicate project status to clients, sales personnel, and management
  • Identify project needs and sample requirements for effective resource planning
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of direct experience in fields such as Regulatory and Compliance, Electrical, or Safety
  • Complete understanding of product safety standards, including ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC, and the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written, and presentation formats
  • Customer-focused and quality-driven approach
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
