About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Feliza African Grocery and Beauty Store Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Mopping Floors: Ensure all floors are clean and free of debris, using a combination of sweeping and mopping techniques.
  • Dusting and Polishing: Dust all furniture and fixtures, and polish floors and surfaces to a high shine.
  • Vacuuming and Cleaning: Vacuum all carpets, area rugs, and upholstered furniture, and clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Trash and Recycling: Empty trash and recycling containers, and ensure all areas are free of litter and debris.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing any complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning changing rooms and showers.
Work Environment

As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to work independently, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
