Reporting to: ESL/LINC Supervisor
Role Overview:
- Deliver English as a Second Language instruction aligned with the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and Portfolio-Based Language Assessment (PBLA).
- Participate in accurate reporting processes as required.
- Exhibit empathy and understanding towards the Adult Learner and their distinct needs.
- Uphold professional standards consistent with the expectations of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board.
Instructional Format:
Classes will be conducted in person, with instructors responsible for monitoring student attendance during each session.
Important Note: Staff must be adaptable to transition to a remote learning format if mandated by Ministry, Board, or Public Health directives.
Qualifications:
- TESL Ontario Certification (OCELT).
- Familiarity with Portfolio-Based Language Assessment (PBLA).
- Experience with MS Teams, Avenue, and/or Onyx Learning Management Systems is preferred.
Compensation: $29.32/hour.
