Early Childhood Educator Position Overview

The Hillfield Strathallan College is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a supply Early Childhood Educator, you will be available for daily and long-term assignments, collaborating with classroom teachers to deliver a program that enhances children's cognitive, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional development.

Qualifications
  • 2-year community college Early Childhood Education Diploma with experience in a childcare or educational setting
  • Member in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Education full day early learning kindergarten program
  • Experience in planning and implementing age-appropriate programs
  • Knowledge of related legislation and pertinent Board policies and directives
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver a comprehensive program
  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and the general public
  • Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and inclusive environment
