Regent College is seeking a skilled Music Director to join our team at North Lonsdale United Church.
Job Summary:The Music Director will be responsible for coordinating musical aspects of worship and music development at North Lonsdale United Church. This includes leading and coordinating the music team on most Sundays, creating weekly setlists and hymn selections, and training and empowering music ministry volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate musical aspects of worship and music development at North Lonsdale United Church
- Lead and coordinate the music team on most Sundays
- Create weekly setlists and hymn selections
- Train and empower music ministry volunteers
- Work alongside the (Lead) Minister to ensure liturgical decisions are made in collaboration with the Music Director
The successful candidate will possess at least some formal training in music, worship studies, or a similar field. Preference will be given to candidates with a conservatory qualification, diploma, or degree in music or worship. Proficiency in piano and voice as well as familiarity with both CCM and traditional hymnology is required.
