Editor-in-Chief Opportunity for Canadian Journal of Music Therapy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced editor to lead our team as the Editor-in-Chief for the Canadian Journal of Music Therapy (CJMT). As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for overseeing the compilation of English-language submissions, collaborating with the French content editor, and ensuring that content meets international standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the French content editor to oversee the compilation of French-language submissions.
  • Collaborating with the editorial team to ensure that content meets international standards of excellence.
  • Expanding the reach of the current open access (OA) distribution model and supporting the expansion of the journal's presence on an international scale.
  • Updating the CJMT content on our website.

Requirements:

  • A desire to support and advance Canadian music therapy scholarship.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer:

  • A two-year, part-time contract position with an annual $2,500 honorarium.
  • Basic office resources, including office supplies and postage.
  • Recognition for service in performance reviews.
