Senior Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our Financial Crimes practice in the Montreal office. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing our service offering and growing our team.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the management and execution of financial crimes projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Lead a team of financial crime consultants, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's deliverables meet KPMG's standards of excellence and clients' needs.
- Act as a subject matter expert on financial crimes advisory, providing services in compliance with best practices, legal requirements, and the firm's standards of excellence.
- Supervise and train team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Act as a point of contact with clients, strengthening existing relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Support the lines of defense in deploying financial crimes programs, ensuring effective risk management and compliance.
- Assess risks (financial crimes, fraud, third-party or regulatory compliance) across the organization, providing recommendations for mitigation and improvement.
- Help clients develop a comprehensive view of their operational and regulatory risks, enabling them to reduce their risk exposure.
- Assist clients in various risk management engagements, including identifying risk appetite, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the deployment of new technologies in financial crimes, leading proposals and providing expertise to clients.
- Provide sound advice on risk governance strategy, adapting it to client needs and ensuring effective implementation.
- At least 10 years of experience in anti-financial crimes, with a strong understanding of laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, criminology, finance, business, or related field, with a Master's degree or graduate degree in financial crimes or related field considered an asset.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (ACFCS), Economic Sanctions Specialist (CSS) certifications or equivalent designations will be considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce concise and structured presentations and reports.
- Knowledge of technologies and solutions available on the market for monitoring and assessment of the risk of money laundering.
- Understanding of banking, insurance, asset management products and services, and existing technologies in the market.
- Ability to work in a team environment, with a customer-oriented approach and a willingness to contribute to internal development activities and business development.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Autonomy, initiative, and a sense of priorities, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint programs.
