Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in providing compliance-related tax services to our clients, working closely with Tax Managers and Partners to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead small and medium-sized client engagements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax services;
  • Manage tax compliance for Canadian and US personal tax, including tax returns, tax projections, and tax equalizations;
  • Oversee the International Assignment Program, managing all aspects of client engagements and ensuring seamless execution;
  • Collaborate with Partners, Executive Directors, and Senior Managers on tax compliance work for clients, providing expert guidance and support;
  • Review and mentor junior staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness of their work;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve client satisfaction and retention;
  • Stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to deliver exceptional results for clients.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a public accounting firm, specializing in personal Canadian and US tax and/or cross-border Canada-US payroll matters;
  • Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation, with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Bilingual French and English (required) to work and communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside of Quebec;
  • Enrollment in an accounting designation (CPA, Canada or CPA, US) and a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations;
  • Excellent computer skills, with experience in Excel and other tax software;
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality results, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and retention;
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
