Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to drive business growth and excellence.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate material, human, and financial resources to support the achievement of business objectives.
- Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
- Regional Coordination: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Policy Formulation: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
- Representation: Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
- Staff Selection: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions.
- Financial Management: Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning.
- Integration Support: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.).
- Recruitment: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.).
- Credential Recognition: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Mentorship: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
- Community Relationships: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
- Cultural Competency: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Elder Support: Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Hiring Practices: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.).
- Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
- Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
