Job Summary
Barco is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Test and Validation Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our international team based in Belgium, Norway, and China, you will be responsible for maintaining test suites, planning, designing, and implementing system tests, analyzing and reporting test results, and collaborating with software and hardware developers to improve testability.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and execute test suites to ensure high-quality products.
- Plan, design, and implement system tests to validate product functionality.
- Analyze and report test results, identifying gaps in test coverage and tracking defects to development teams.
- Collaborate with software and hardware developers to improve testability and promote shift-left testing approaches.
- Help improve the continuous integration system by transforming manual tests into automated tests using Python.
- Manage the release of embedded software, including engineering requests, release notes, and follow-up implementation in production.
Requirements
- Hands-on, 'can-do' attitude with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of image projection technology and experience with software development in Python are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
