Meat Department Team Member

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Meat Department Team Member to join our team at Metro. As a Meat Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring our meat department meets the highest standards of quality and freshness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers about our meat products.
- Merchandising and Display: Stock merchandise, create visually appealing displays, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain strong product knowledge, including meat cuts, cooking methods, and nutritional information.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.
Requirements:
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30 to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience: Retail experience considered an asset.
