We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Inout Design & Construction. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for creating custom-made cabinets that maximize storage and meet our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets, taking into account storage needs and design requirements.
- Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing and applying laminated plastics as required.
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Estimate costs and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
- Operate heavy equipment, such as saws and sanders, safely and efficiently.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, and other necessary tools and equipment.
The Cabinetmaker will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
