HSE Field Support Specialist

About the Role:
Laprairie Works Oilfield Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Field Support professional to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to supervisors and working with operations to promote a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide HSE guidance and support to supervisors and operations teams.
- Work with operations to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular worksite inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Follow up with action items resulting from worksite inspections to ensure completion and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate reporting documents and provide regular updates to management.
- Participate in Environmental Inspections and follow up on Environmental Action items.
- Monitor and complete various annual permit and certification renewals.
- Assist in conducting Winter Snowplow Awareness meetings within the contract areas.
- Conduct incident investigations, working with the Foreman and Team Lead from completion to submission.
- Assist in ensuring documentation is kept up to date and current at each location within the contract areas.
- Assist with Laprairie Works Oilfield Services safety requirements compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years relevant field safety experience.
- NCSO Professional certification, or equivalent is preferred.
- OHS Certification would be an asset.
- Experience with the WCB process and claims management is an asset but not required.
- Experience and proven record in participation of safety management processes (e.g. safety committees, working groups, auditing, and inspection experience).
- Hold a valid drivers' license.
- Able to work effectively with people of all levels including management, employees, and contractors.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast changing situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in an efficient and professional manner.
- Self-starter, ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Ability to prioritize projects and meet critical deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft basic suite of programs (i.e., e Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Ability to travel on a regular basis throughout the area of operations.
