Job Summary

The Cedar Shake and Shingle Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of cedar shake and shingle products in our designated territory. This role requires a strong understanding of the cedar shake and shingle grading system and the ability to conduct thorough inspections in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of cedar shake and shingle mills to ensure compliance with applicable criteria and grading rules.
  • Verify that products meet the required standards and labeling procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of inspection and auditing processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to maintain expertise and provide high-quality services.

Requirements

  • Previous relevant inspection experience.
  • Familiarity with cedar shake and shingle grading system.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers' license.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to Vancouver Island.
