About the Role

ADM Milling Co. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join their Milling Team in Calgary, Alberta. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for performing analytical and physical testing of raw materials and finished products, maintaining accurate test result files, and communicating quality information to the team and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately analyze and report data on various wheat, flour milling, and shipping samples
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills in performing job functions with plant peers, management, customers, suppliers, and laboratory personnel
  • Use computer programs to process data and maintain accurate logs of pertinent information
  • Demonstrate flexibility and manage job functions within pre-determined timelines
  • Properly follow all ADM internal and external procedures
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in food chemistry or a related field
  • Minimum 4 months of experience in a QC lab environment or 3 years of experience in a QC lab environment with no post-secondary education
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Experience with AACC methods, Brabender, and NIR equipment is an asset
  • Experience with flour milling is an asset
