Job Title: Land Surveyor Project Manager

Phasor Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta-based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing/commissioning of high-voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances, such as IEC 61850, to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering.

We are seeking a highly motivated Land Surveyor/Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our Geomatics division, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including establishing communication protocols, managing project financials, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project execution, including communication protocols, project financials, and safety procedures
  • Liaise with Phasor personnel to understand project requirements, including scheduling, cost, technical, and logistic considerations
  • Manage sub-contractors performing Geomatics work on a project
  • Manage shift schedules, accommodations, and mobilization requirements for Crew Chiefs and Survey Assistants
  • Participate in division-level meetings to coordinate Crew Allocation between projects
  • Contribute to division management by understanding future workloads and developing the team to meet those requirements
  • Supervise project staff, ensuring proper, efficient, and timely execution of project tasks
  • Review project staff's work to ensure it meets expectations
  • Complete any additional reporting required by the project
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics or Civil Engineering
  • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Safety tickets are an asset
  • Valid Driver's License
