Job Title: Education Assistant - Long Term Occasional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Assistant to join our team at St. John Paul II School in Kenora, ON. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and accepting learning environment for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate with staff to review student programs.
  • Assist with personal care, including feeding, catheterizing, administering medication, dressing, toileting, lifting, and positioning of students.
  • Supervise students in all school-related settings, including field trips, and track and maintain student data as requested.
  • Participate in Health and Safety training and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.
  • Education Assistant qualifications or similar preferred.
  • Experience working with children or youth, with the ability to adapt to meet the needs of a diverse school community.
  • Computer literacy is preferred.
