Family Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at Ocean Pier Medical Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Consultation and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to evaluate their physical and mental health, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed, taking into account patients' medical histories and current health status.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with clear and concise information about their health, including advice on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
- Co-ordination of Care: Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless co-ordination of patient care, including referrals to specialists and other medical services.
- Acute Care Management: Provide emergency care and treatment to patients with acute medical conditions, such as injuries or illnesses.
- Counselling and Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, helping them to cope with a range of health and lifestyle issues.
- Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in family medicine or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are required.
- Professional Liability Insurance: Eligibility for professional liability insurance is a must.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
