We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Field Service Technician to join our team at MBI I.T. Services. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support and maintenance services for our clients' computer systems and hardware.

Job Responsibilities
  • Hardware and Software Support: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain computer systems, hardware, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Documentation and Upgrades: Document and maintain hardware and software systems, including upgrades and replacements, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • User Account Management: Support user account information, including rights, security, and systems groups, to ensure secure and efficient access to computer systems.
  • Training and Support: Train employees on the use of computer systems and hardware, identify and repair product failures, and order and replace parts as needed.
  • Product Recommendations: Determine and recommend products or services that best fit customers' needs, ensuring optimal solutions for their business requirements.
Requirements
  • Availability: Available to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings, for the duration of the contract.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Education: High school diploma and college or university enrollment/degree.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience working as a break/fix Field IT technician and/or lead break/fix Field IT technician.
  • Technical Knowledge: Excellent technical knowledge of hardware and Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
  • Protocols and Standards: Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Documentation and Interpretation: Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides, and develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end-user procedures.
  • Technical Familiarity: Familiar with personal computers, printers, wireless connectivity devices, and able to lift a 20 lbs. box from the floor to a tabletop surface.
  • Travel Requirements: Possession and use of an owned car for travel between locations, and ability to travel long distances.
  • Device Requirements: Android 4.4+ or Apple iOS9+ or Windows Phone 8+ including a data package to receive emails and instant messaging.
Nice to Have
  • Education and Certifications: College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or information technologies, or 7-10 years equivalent work experience, and CompTIA A+ certifications, Cisco or Microsoft certifications.
Compensation and Incentives
  • Hourly Rate: $30-35/hour
  • Mileage and Travel Incentives: Mileage - both ways at $0.38/km minus the first 20 km, and travel time - last site location back to HUB.
