Bakery Production Assistant

Irene\u0027s Bakery Ltd is seeking a skilled Bakery Bench Hand to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing dough and batters for various baked goods, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Dough Preparation: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Material Requisition: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Baking: Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
- Special Orders: Prepare special orders, including frosting and decorating cakes and baked goods.
- Production Scheduling: Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all necessary materials are available.
- Food Safety: Demonstrate food safety and handling skills to maintain a safe working environment.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
