Bakery Production Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Bench Hand to join our team at Irene's Bakery Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing dough, batters, and icings for a variety of baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
- Prepare special orders and ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality.
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to add a touch of elegance.
- Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Operate machinery and equipment with precision and care.
- Organize and maintain inventory to prevent waste and ensure timely restocking.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances with attention to detail.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is an asset.
