We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Bluewater Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and education to adult and pediatric patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care and teaching to patients and their families in the Emergency Department
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to resolve problems and improve patient outcomes
- Participate in unit and hospital quality improvement initiatives
- Complete continuing education requirements as necessary
- Act as a coach, mentor, and resource for new staff and students
- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Current Certification in IV Therapy
- Successful completion of Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) and Triage course
- Two years recent experience in Emergency Nursing and/or Critical Care Nursing
- Recent Cardiac Monitoring experience
- Ability to apply critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, and prioritization skills
- BScN
- Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) Certification in Emergency
- Experience with electronic nursing documentation
