As a member of the Enterprise Finance & Controllership group in our Toronto headquarters, you will engage in a cooperative team environment that encourages us to excel, think innovatively, and work collectively to achieve shared objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a pivotal role in enhancing RBC's ESG reporting framework, including leading improvements in the ESG disclosure process and adopting new reporting tools.
- Develop RBC's external ESG disclosure strategy and ensure the delivery of top-tier disclosures.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of RBC's primary ESG reports.
- Coordinate with external auditors regarding ESG reporting matters.
- Contribute to shaping future ESG-related disclosure standards by supporting advocacy initiatives.
- Stay informed on relevant updates from key regulatory bodies.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of RBC's quarterly and annual Management's Discussion & Analysis.
- Help prepare ESG-related materials for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in the preparation and evaluation of ESG-related disclosures.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
- 5+ years of pertinent work experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership capabilities in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive and forward-thinking mindset.
Preferred:
- In-depth understanding of ESG regulatory disclosure requirements.
- Experience in ESG-related roles and/or familiarity with ESG frameworks.
