Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled General Cardiologist to join our team at Island Health, with a focus on establishing a Heart Health Division in Victoria. As a key member of our Department of Cardiac Services, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our cardiovascular program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients, including coronary care unit, cardiology wards, and cardiology consultation services.
  • Collaborate with other members of Internal Medicine to establish a Heart Health Division, with a focus on Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Participate in academic and research activities through the University of British Columbia, Island Medical Program.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cardiovascular programs and services.
Requirements
  • Eligible applicants must hold certification by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Cardiology.
  • Experience in Women's health, adult congenital heart disease, cardio-oncology, or cardiac rehabilitation is an advantage.
