Seed Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Seed Technician to join our breeding organization. As a Seed Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with seed quality analysis, participating in receiving, sorting, cleaning, and scanning seed samples, and organizing seed inventory and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in seed quality analysis, including receiving, sorting, cleaning, and scanning seed samples.
  • Packing or loading of seed samples for quality analysis.
  • Organization of seed inventory and supplies.
  • Following company safety rules and standard operating procedures.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Possess strong ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to concentrate for sustained periods of time.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work on own initiative.
  • Flexible attitude and ability to learn new procedures.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks.
  • Excellent computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or Post-Secondary Degree.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM for workday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM for weekend.

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Estimated Salary: $8.00 to $21.00 per hour based on qualifications.
