Job Summary:

The Analyst 1 will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses to ensure the quality and safety of food products. This role will involve working with various equipment and instruments, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory tests and analyses to ensure the quality and safety of food products
  • Operate various equipment and instruments, including spectrophotometers and chromatographs
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including data entry into LIMS
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth laboratory operations
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as food science or microbiology
  • Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in food microbiology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
