Job Title: Construction Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Construction Carpenter to join our team at Chatsworth Fine Homes. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure high-quality work.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and in outdoor conditions.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
