Key Responsibilities:- Financial Management: Manage the transportation budget and ensure that all expenses are within approved limits.
- Shipping and Tracking: Arrange for shipping documentation and track the movement of goods in transit.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and laws.
- Policies and Standards: Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Negotiations: Negotiate with service providers to secure preferential rates and services.
- Operations Management: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, and monitor revenue.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels.
- Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Leadership: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, and supervise a team of 11-15 people.
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
- Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, large workload, and work under pressure.
- Tools and Equipment: Computer.
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week. The work language is English, and the job involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
