Transportation Manager

Rocket Logistics Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods and ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Management: Manage the transportation budget and ensure that all expenses are within approved limits.
- Shipping and Tracking: Arrange for shipping documentation and track the movement of goods in transit to ensure timely delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations and laws.
- Policies and Standards: Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Negotiations: Negotiate with service providers to secure preferential rates and services.
- Operations Management: Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, and monitor revenue.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure that goods are available when needed.
- Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Leadership: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, and supervise a team of 11-15 people.
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Skills: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, large workload, work under pressure, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, analytical
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Work Term: Permanent
