In Vivo Research Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Animal Health Specialist to join our Toxicology team in Laval. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our laboratory animals, which is crucial for the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process biological samples (blood, urine, etc.)
- Conduct data collection (body weight, food consumption, clinical signs, etc.)
- Administer injections (subcutaneous, intramuscular, etc.)
- Ensure animal room cleanliness and maintenance
- College Diploma in Animal Health, Bioecology, or a related Animal Science discipline
- Bachelor's degree in biology or a related discipline
- Excellent observation skills
- Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)
- Strong understanding of written English is mandatory; bilingualism in French and English is preferable
- Competitive salary starting at $23/hour, with opportunities for advancement and higher salary with specific research experience
- Premiums: evenings ($2.50), weekends ($2.75), overtime (time and a half), and holidays (double time)
- Flexible schedule with opportunities for overtime, holidays, and night shifts
- Permanent, full-time position with 37.5 hours per week
