Carpentry Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Lead Hand to join our team at Appenzell Construction Inc. as a key member of our construction team.
Job Summary:The Carpenter Lead Hand will be responsible for overseeing the installation of various construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the work of carpentry teams on construction sites
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and company standards
- Plan and schedule work to meet project deadlines
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and engineers
- Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and materials
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Construction Manager
- 3-5 years of experience in carpentry, with a strong background in supervisory roles
- Trade certification (e.g., Carpenter Trade Certification) and Red Seal certification
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) training and Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
- First Aid Certificate and other relevant certifications
