About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team at Quality & Company Inc. as a key member of our Furniture Restoration Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replace worn-out webbing, springs, and other furniture parts to ensure optimal functionality and aesthetic appeal.
  • Lay out, cut, fabricate, and install high-quality upholstery to meet our clients' expectations.
  • Tack, glue, or sew ornamental trim, braids, or buttons to add a touch of elegance to our restored furniture pieces.
  • Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to their original glory.
  • Operate sewing machines or sew by hand to create intricate designs and patterns.
  • Garnish the bottom and back of a seat with interwoven rattan to add a touch of sophistication.
Industry Experience
  • Furniture upholstery and repair shop experience is essential, with a focus on high-end furniture restoration.
  • Experience in working with various types of materials, including wood, fabric, and leather.
Specialization or Experience
  • Seats for stadiums, halls, and other high-traffic areas.
  • Furniture restoration for commercial and residential clients.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work with a variety of materials.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
