We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care department at Mills Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
- Participate in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the education and training of nursing staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Postgraduate courses (within the last five years) appropriate to service assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
- Ability to communicate, and maintain good public relations with family and friends of patients.
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
- Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
