Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Calgary Sweets & Restaurant Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits, as well as operating dishwashers and other kitchen appliances.
  • Plate Presentation: Ensure that all dishes are presented in an attractive and appetizing manner, adhering to our restaurant's high standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels of food, supplies, and cleaning products, and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an asset.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
