Position Overview:
We are in search of a seasoned and passionate Executive Director/Fundraiser to spearhead our organization. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in project oversight, fundraising strategies, and team leadership, with a strong commitment to our mission.
The Executive Director's primary responsibilities include enhancing Governance, Financial Performance, and the Organizational Mission and Strategy. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead teams in both Kenya and Canada, ensuring the effective execution of our vision.
- Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to engage them in policy-making, fundraising initiatives, and increasing public awareness through strategic outreach.
- Recruit, mentor, and motivate staff to align with the overarching vision of ReAct.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for program expansion in Kenya, in accordance with the Board's directives.
- Create an annual fundraising strategy aimed at boosting the organization’s revenue.
- Oversee marketing and communication efforts, including social media, newsletters, and media outreach, to strengthen relationships with existing partners and attract new ones.
- Coordinate Board and committee meetings in line with the Annual Calendar.
- Work with the Kenyan financial team to establish administrative policies and procedures.
- Manage the daily operations of ReAct's Canadian activities.
- Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations in both Canada and Kenya.
- Review and approve monthly financial reports, ensuring timely fund transfers as per the budget.
- Travel to Kenya at least once a year.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree or higher.
- Integrity, humility, and proven leadership skills.
- A strong work ethic and high energy levels.
- Excellent public speaking abilities.
- A personal commitment to faith that inspires their vision for social justice.
- A minimum of five years in a leadership role within the nonprofit sector.
- Experience collaborating with a Board of Directors.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, with a track record of raising over $100,000 annually.
- A history of generating new revenue streams and enhancing financial performance.
- Effective communication skills to convey ReAct's mission to partners and the broader community.
- A willingness to engage in personal development through self-assessment.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with the ability to communicate ReAct's future vision in a culturally relevant manner.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in diverse cultural settings.
This role can be part-time or full-time, with some evening and weekend hours required for special projects.
Compensation: The Executive Director position offers a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Pay Range: $21.00-$36.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 24 hours per week
